Art Club
Through weekly sessions, members of the Art Club explore various mediums and genres of Art. For example, observational drawing, digital art, oil pastel, watercolour, and even clay work. These art tasks act as a platform for Art Club members to enhance their creativity and self-expression, enabling them to have better understanding of the elements of art and principles of design. By exposing them to competitions and exhibitions, we hope to instill in Art Club members self-confidence, resilience as well as deeper appreciation for the different art forms.
Brass Band
Love music? Learn an instrument, perform with confidence, and grow through teamwork in the Brass Band CCA.
🎶 What We Do
In Brass Band, students learn to play either a brass or percussion instrument, such as the cornet, horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, timpani and drum set. Training is conducted through both sectional practices and full-band rehearsals, where students develop fundamental musical skills, ensemble awareness and performance techniques.
The Brass Band CCA provides a structured and progressive learning environment that supports students’ holistic development. Through regular training, performances and events, members cultivate discipline, resilience and responsibility, while strengthening teamwork, confidence and a sense of commitment.

Students perform at school events, attend Day Camps and represent the school at SYF, building confidence and resilience. Band Leaders are given opportunities to mentor juniors and develop leadership and decision-making skills.

Choir
Choir CCA aims to spread the joy of community singing in a fun and engaging way. Choir members will develop skills such as voice articulation, score reading, performance etiquette in an ensemble. They will have the opportunity to watch concerts as well as perform for Prize-Giving Day, community events and SYF Arts Festival.
Contemporary Dance
Get ready to move, groove, and shine! In 2025, our Contemporary Dance CCA mixes the best of Ballet, Jazz, Street, and Ethnic dance styles, giving our dancers the chance to explore exciting moves and express themselves creatively.
While we dance our hearts out, we also build important 21st Century Competencies. Through group choreography and teamwork, our dancers sharpen their Critical Thinking and learn to communicate and collaborate like true performers.
With every beat and step, our dancers grow more confident, creative, and connected. Contemporary Dance is where energy meets teamwork — and where every dancer gets to sparkle!
